This Privacy Policy explains how TechAscents ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the TechAscents Distributor mobile application (the "App"). The App is a business-to-business (B2B) ordering tool provided to authorised distribution partners and their sales representatives. A valid account issued by us is required to use the App. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the ordering and account services:

a. Account and profile information

Name
Email address
Phone number
Profile photo (only if you choose to upload one)
Your role and the distributor account(s) you are authorised to act for

b. Business and transaction information

Orders you place, including products, quantities, and order history
Invoices, credit notes, payments, and account-statement records
Inventory and scheme information associated with your account

c. Technical and diagnostic information

Device type and operating system version
App version
A device identifier generated on first install, used to manage your login session
Basic diagnostic and error information used to keep the App working reliably

We do not collect your device's geographic location. The App does not request or track GPS location.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to:

Authenticate you and keep your session secure
Display your catalogue, pricing, and account data
Process and track the orders you place
Generate and provide invoices and account statements
Provide customer and account support
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App

We do not use your information for advertising, and the App does not contain third-party advertising.

3. How Information Is Stored and Protected

All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Your login (access and refresh tokens) is stored securely on your device using the operating system's secure storage (Keychain on iOS, Keystore on Android).
If you enable quick-unlock (MPIN), only a one-way cryptographic hash of your PIN is stored on your device. Your actual PIN is never stored or transmitted.
Access to your business data on our servers is restricted to your authorised account and role.

4. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

We may share information only:

With service providers who host or operate our infrastructure on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations
Within your own organisation's account structure (for example, a sales representative or brand team authorised to view or place orders for a distributor)
Where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and transaction information for as long as your account is active and as required for legitimate business, accounting, tax, and legal purposes. When information is no longer required, we delete or anonymise it.

6. Your Rights and Account Deletion

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal information, subject to legal and business record-keeping requirements. Because accounts are issued to authorised business partners, some records associated with completed transactions may be retained for statutory purposes.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is intended solely for business use by authorised partners and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
